Report Filters and Dimensions

In Oktopost's Social BI, you can create reports based on several sources of data. Each source has unique fields that you can use for both grouping and filtering, as well as common fields that you can use only for grouping.

Common Fields

Time-series Fields

Time-series fields are available for all sources, and you can use them to view trends and results over time.

Field Use it to
Date Group by days.
Week Group by weeks (starts on Sundays).
Month Group by months.
Quarter Group by quarters.
Year Group by years.

Other Time Fields

You can also use these general time fields to group your results by recurring calendar events such as days of the week. These fields are available for all sources as well.

Field Use it to
Day of Week Group by the day of the week (Sunday, Monday, etc.).
Week of Year Group by the number of the week in the year.
Month of Year Group by the month's name (January, February, etc.).

Note that time-based reports show metrics according to the metric date, and not the post schedule date.

Post Group by posts. You can use this to create table reports that include information about each individual post. -
Post Source Group by posts' source: API, App, Native, Advocacy, Extension. Multi-value
Team Group by teams. Multi-value
User Group the application user or advocate that shared the post. Multi-value
Topic Group by the advocacy topics assigned to the post. Boolean Search
Attachment-Type Group by the message attachment type: None, Link, Image, GIF, and Video. Multi-value
Channel Group by channel.
Owned: includes data from owned channels (e.g., your corporate profiles and pages).
Earned: includes data from earned channels (e.g., your advocacy shares and mentions).
Paid: includes data from paid channels (e.g., your Facebook Ads account).

Tags Group by the message tags. Boolean Search
Profile Group by the social profile's name. Multi-value
Network Group by the social network: Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and WeChat. Multi-value

Filter Types

Type Description
Multi-value Multi-value filters allow you to select multiple values based on existing records.
Boolean Search Boolean search filters allow you to look up data using operators: Contains, Empty, Not Empty, Is, Is not.
