The People Database

When you connect a social profile to Oktopost, it will start listening to social engagements such as clicks on shared links, comments on posts, and more. These engagements are stored and processed to provide you with powerful analytics, reports, the social inbox, and insights about how people engage with your brand on social media.

To provide you with insights about how people are engaging with your brand on social media, Oktopost has a People Database that saves engagements with relation to the social profile who initiated them. When Oktopost detects a connection between a social profile and a person, it will create a Lead record in Oktopost and associate all the social profile's engagements as lead activities.

To use this data, you will need to integrate Oktopost with your marketing automation system or CRM. In this case, Oktopost will sync the activities with known leads and use your existing database to enhance its ability to associate lead activities.

Notes

API Limitations

Oktopost is only able to record social activities available via private and public APIs and in accordance with policies and throttle limits.

Privacy

Oktopost will not record comments or direct messages for personal Facebook and LinkedIn profiles.

Negative Interactions

Currently, Oktopost does not record negative interactions such as unlikes, deleted posts and deleted comments.
