Using Scheduled Exports

The Scheduled Exports feature allows you to easily connect all your social analytics data from Oktopost to your business intelligence (BI) platform.

To get started, head over to Analytics → Exports and click on the New Export button.

Export Types

Each scheduled export you create will contain data referring to a certain type of analytics.

Type Description
Posts Daily metrics about each post scheduled through Oktopost
Clicks Data about each link click
Social Profiles Daily metrics about each social profile e.g. followers, page likes, etc.

Export Methods

Once you've selected the data type, time range, and frequency of your export, you will be required to select the target destination. Here are the options:

Option Description
Amazon S3 Oktopost will connect to your Amazon S3 bucket and upload the export file to a designated folder
Email Oktopost will send an email containing a download link to the chosen address
sFTP Secure File Transfer Protocol. Oktopost will connect to your server using sFTP and upload the file to the target folder
FTP File Transfer Protocol. Oktopost will connect to your server using FTP and upload the file to the target folder
Microsoft Azure Oktopost will connect to your Microsoft Azure storage account and upload the exported file to a designated container


  • In order to use the Amazon S3 option you will need to provide your AWS Access Keys.
  • The server name configuration in both FTP and sFTP options cannot contain an IP address and should not contain an http\s prefix.
  • All exports are currently provided in CSV format only.
  • All dates and times in both setup and reports are displayed according to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
